History
O’Tooles Bar is in the townland of Ballymacnab which is just 5 miles outside Armagh City. The pub has been handed down through generations of O’Tooles for at least 200 years. It was originally used as a safe house for priests.
You can find us four and a bit miles south of the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, Armagh, on the Newtownhamilton Road on the best road to Dublin.
Newly refurbished in 2009
On the 12th December 2008 our new premises opened. We spent a considerable amount of time and effort in the planning to ensure we kept the bar in the tradition and heritage of the local area whilst catering for the needs of our sophisticated modern day customers.
O’Toole’s, extended and refurbished to the highest standards, designed and fitted out by a market leader for the hospitality sector, is definitely the place to be with something for everyone!
Pub of the year 2009
We were very proud to receive not only Regional pub of the year 2009 but Northern Ireland pub of the year.
"The pinnacle of achievement! The pub that has got it all! The Northern Ireland Pub of The Year 2009; chosen by the judges from the 7 winners of the Regional Pubs of the Year Awards."
